TOP 6 Best Neighborhoods in Cedar Park, Texas to live in!

Are you thinking about moving to Cedar Park, but you aren't sure where? Well, I got you covered. Here are the six best neighborhoods to choose from:

1.  Caballo Ranch

This community is located about 24 miles from Downtown Austin. There is easy access to the best shopping, recreation, and entertainment centers. Grocery stores, restaurants, carwashes, and coffee shops are 4 miles away, and outdoor activities, including the Southwest Williamson County Regional Park, are only 5 miles away from Caballo Ranch.

Caballo Ranch has a community center with a pool, park, hiking, and running space along Brushy Creek Lake Park. This neighborhood also has a soccer field, stadium, and many tennis and basketball courts.

Homes are spacious and range between 300-500k. HOAs are about $100 quarterly, and the tax rate is only 2.4%.

Caballo Ranch feeds into Leander ISD. Students attend Parkside Elementary School, Stiles Middle School, and Rouse High School, all A-rated.

2.  Ranch at Brushy Creek

Ranch at Brushy Creek has over 700 homes ranging between 2,000-5,000 square feet. Within this community, there are smaller gated home communities including Overlook at The Ranch.

Home prices in this community range between 350-850k. The HOAs are about $75monthly, with the tax rate going between 2.2- 2.4%.

For the young at heart, this community offers many outdoor amenities and fun. You will have access to pools and playing centers. Also, you will be within walking distance to Lake Park and Splash Park, which have kayaking, fishing, and wildlife observation areas, respectively.

Ranch at Brushy Creek has access to Sommer Elementary School, Cedar Valley Middle School, and Round Rock High School, A-rated schools. Students also have access to Leander schools including Ronald Reagan Elementary School, Sidwell Middle School, and Vista Ridge High School.

3.  Walsh Trails

Walsh is located 22 miles from Downtown Austin and only 13 miles from major companies, including Google and IBM. It boasts traditionally styled homes built between 2007 and 2010, and the home sizes range from 1,900-4,000 square feet. Housing prices are between 300- 500k, HOAs are about $220 annually, and the tax rate is 2.2%.

Although there are no amenities within this community, Brushy Creek Regional Trail, entertainment, and shopping centers are within walking or biking distance.

Walsh Trail feeds into Round Rock ISD, and students attend Sommer Elementary, Walsh Middle, and Round Rock High School.

4.  Ranch at Cypress Creek

The community has many homes built in the 90s. Homes range from 1,500 – 3,700 square feet while the prices are about 300-450k. HOAs are $120 annually, and the Tax rate runs at 2.3%.

Ranch at Cypress Creek is located 21miles from Downtown Austin and has several shops and restaurants nearby. Elizabeth Milburn Park, one of Cedar Park's best parks, is within the community, and there are fields, swimming pools, tracks, and a community garden. There are also several jogging and biking places.

Students at Cypress Creek go to Deer Creek Elementary, Cedar Park Middle School, and Cedar Park High School. Austin Community College is also 2 miles away.

5.  Ranch at Deer Creek

This community has over 600 spaciously built homes ranging from 2,000 – 5,100 square feet and the home prices are around 330- 640k. HOAs are roughly $275 semiannually, while the tax rate is between 2.3 -2.4%.

Deer Creek is 21 miles from Austin and only 20 minutes from Lake Travis. This means you have easy access to waterskiing, sailing, and fishing. There are also many amenities within the community including swimming pools, parks, playgrounds, and rental rooms for your meetings or events.

Schools in this community include Deer Creek Elementary, Cedar Park Middle School, and Cedar Park High School.


6.  Twin Creeks

Twin Creeks has thousands of custom, single-family, or luxury homes. The home sizes are 1,800 -6,300 square feet, and the prices are -700k. HOAs are $99 quarterly, while the tax rate lies between 2.4-2.6%.

At Twin Creeks, you will enjoy first-class accommodation and amenities including country clubs, pools, playgrounds, and a fitness center. You will also have quick access to 620, 45, and 183.

The community feeds into Deer Creek Elementary, Cedar Park Middle School, and Cedar Park High School.
